FAQ

When can I check in? Please coordinate check in with your reservation so we can include you in the meal count. If you check in after dinner, please pay at the office after breakfast the next day.

When are meals served? When can I check in? Meals are served at 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM.

How do I check in? You can check in at the office. Should you arrive after hours your cabin assignment will be on the office door.

What time is check out? For weekend guests, checkout is at 11 a.m. on Sunday. For weekday guests, checkout is after breakfast at 9 a.m. Please vacate cabin and grounds after checking out

Can I bring my pet? No pets allowed.

Can I camp? We do not have space for RV campers or tent camping at this time.

Are there phones or TVs? We have no television or internet access for our visitors. In addition, there are no phones in the cabins and limited to no phone service depending on your carrier. We do have great scenery and wonderful river sounds.

What about the meals? Breakfast and dinner are included in your stay and are served family style in the dining hall. Breakfast includes a hot entrée plus a variety of cereals, yogurt and fruit. Dinner include a hot meal plus a salad bar. Dinner also includes dessert.

What should I bring? Bedding, towels and soap are provided in your cabin. You may want to bring bug spray, sunscreen and a folding chair. Don’t forget any items you may need for your activities such as fishing equipment, hiking boots/change of shoes, hat, tennis racket/balls etc. We do have tennis equipment available but it is shared by the community and can get tired.  You are welcome to build a campfire on the gravel bar of the river. We do have firewood available and some fire starter kits but you may want to bring your own. Don’t forget the ingredients for your s’mores either.

Can I bring alcohol? Alcohol is allowed in the cabins but not around the camp.

What is there to do? We have a variety of activities including a play area for kids (swings, playhouse, old chapel and one room school), miniature golf (clubs and golf balls available at the office), putting green, tennis, pickle ball, ping pong, shuffle board and a nice library with games and books for kids. We also have a wonderful riverfront gravel bar perfect for fishing, swimming and canoeing. Canoes are available to borrow or you can arrange with a local outfitter to go on a longer trip. We also have a lovely hike out to a spring. There are several small streams to cross along the path so you will get your feet wet.

Can I bring my own food? You are welcome to bring some of your own food for snacks or special dietary restrictions. Small refrigerators are included in each cabin. Many guests bring their own coolers. Bags of ice are available for purchase in the office.

Can Bunker Hill accommodate any special dietary requirements? Because all meals are served family style using a predetermined menu, we do not have the ability to prepare special meals to accommodate special dietary situations such as diabetes or particular food allergies. Dinner includes a salad bar.
