About Bunker Hill Retreat

Located on the beautiful Jacks Fork River, Bunker Hill Retreat sits on over 2000 wooded acres. A private retreat for decades, the Retreat is now open to the public. A trip down the two-mile long driveway transports you to a park-like refuge. Our retreat has 20 cabins of various sizes with 8 backing up to the river. Cabins can accommodate from 2 to 16. Most cabins include a screened in porch and fireplace; all have air conditioning. Your stay includes breakfast and dinner. Each cabin includes a small refrigerator for snacks and lunch. Grills are also available

With lots to do for people of all ages, we are perfect for family reunions and retreats. Activities include: canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, horseshoes, swimming (river only), ping pong, basketball, volleyball, tennis, pickle ball, mini golf, shuffleboard, playground and library with children’s section and games. Kids can also check out a nature back pack to help them with their exploring. Sitting in a rocking chair, reading and visiting are popular as well.

The Friends of Bunker Hill is a non-profit organization that oversees the Bunker Hill Retreat. The Friends of Bunker Hill provides a charitable way for people to give back and support a place that is very near and dear to them.

A true getaway.

Bunker Hill is in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways, the first national park to protect a river system. Spring-fed, clear (and cool!) it offers great canoeing, swimming and fishing. Enjoy Bunker Hill’s rock beach or contact an outfitter to plan your own canoe trip.

A look inside

We have a lot to offer but we do not have televisions or phones in the cabins.
